Why We Run - Documentary Premiere

What a fabulous premiere at the Brisbane Powerhouse!

Why We Run is the story of 16 teenagers learning about domestic and family violence, but its impact is so much bigger than that.

Over 12 weeks, students from St Teresa’s Catholic College Noosaville ran for someone who has survived domestic and family violence. All the while they were learning about healthy relationships and the impacts of violence.

Domestic and family violence can be a tough topic to approach, but Why We Run – directed by Dr Cameron Cliff – shows that there is hope and a way forward, and a new generation who are committed to stopping violence before it begins.

Audiences at the documentary screenings at the school in Noosaville and the Brisbane Powerhouse said how engaging, impactful and hopeful this project is, and Challenge DV looks forward to sharing it with more schools and community organisations.

Every step counts, and together we are creating a world without domestic and family violence. If you would like to know more about how your school could participate, please contact us at team@challengedv.org for more information.
